What is a hybrid courier?
When you book a hybrid courier, it simply means that rather than one courier company handling the collection, sorting and delivery of your package, there could be two or three parties involved.
For example, EU Parcel is hybrid service as it is dropped off at a FedEx store, FedEx deliver to a sorting facility, then EMS Parcel Post ship your parcel overseas and the local postal operator delivers it to the recipient. In comparison, if you book a courier service like DHL Express, one courier will handle the delivery door to door.
Using a hybrid service can mean rather than one shipping label or barcode being provided you might have two. This allows the package to be shipped to the sorting depot, sorted and then shipped out to the recipient overseas.
Not only this, the tracking might show the package has been 'delivered' but this may mean only to the sorting facility and then further scans will be shown on the tracking as it moves out of the country to be delivered internationally.
