Standard shipping is your average shipping service, not shipped quickly overnight for expensive rates, but not using slower tracked mail services either. Standard shipping is perfect for small to fairly large boxes - but if your item is over 70 lbs or it is very big or long, you might need a large or heavy courier service.

Standard shipping normally comes with a reasonable shipping time and full tracking so that both the sender and receiver can see when the package has been delivered.

How long does standard shipping take?

Standard shipping in the US takes 3-5 days. When you buy something online, generally it will arrive at your door in this time frame and that is now the standard expected by online shoppers.

If you live in a more remote location it can take a little longer for a package to arrive but in the US, almost all states can be reached within 3-5 days using standard Ground shipping.

Things are a little more complex when it comes to international shipping when it comes to transit times as obviously, some locations are more difficult for the couriers to reach.

Amazon Standard Shipping

Amazon has really pushed the boundaries when it comes to shipping, with millions getting on-demand delivery via Amazon Prime.
